NOTE: The 2021 camps have been cancelled.
Due to the continued uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, CCEC will not be offering Touchstone Energy Sports Camp Scholarships for summer 2021.
We encourage eligible middle school students to apply for a scholarship to attend overnight basketball camp in summer 2022. Applications will be accepted beginning Jan. 1, 2022. Please continue to check this site for updates.
Middle schoolers, if you love basketball and want to gain experience training alongside real college basketball players and coaches, we provide scholarships each year for the Roy Williams Basketball Camp at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp at NC State University.
All expenses for the overnight camps will be paid by the cooperative. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the camp.
Contestants are judged on academic records, extra-curricular activities and the content of an essay that must be submitted with the application. To be eligible to win, students must be in the sixth, seventh or eighth grade and have permission from a parent or guardian.
While the physical benefits of playing sports are quite obvious, we’re confident campers will gain new skills that will develop their character and help them excel on and off the court, such as collaborating with teammates, setting goals and establishing new friendships.
More than 50 students statewide will win scholarships this year. The application period for this year has closed. Applications for 2021 will be available at the first of that year.
