As part of our continuing efforts to provide safe and reliable electric service, CCEC has contracted with Xylem Tree Experts to conduct vegetation management within the co-op’s right-of-way that could affect the electric lines. During the first quarter of 2025, our right-of-way maintenance crews will be primarily focused in the Havelock area. All CCEC right-of-way will be trimmed during this time, ensuring thorough and professional maintenance. We ask that those traveling in these areas please slow down and, when possible, safely move over when passing these crews along the roadside. Safety is our priority, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
In addition to roadside pruning, crews will also be conducting maintenance along circuits with electric lines located in members’ backyards. To keep our members informed, a representative from CCEC and/or Xylem Tree Experts will attempt to contact those who can expect trimming in their backyards.
If you have any questions about the right-of-way maintenance around your property, please feel free to reach out to Brent Toler, our vegetation management coordinator, at brentt@ccemc.com. For more information about the co-op’s right-of-way and vegetation management program, click here.
